Old spaces have a character that should not be replaced, but revealed. Vitosha Residence brings together preserved original details, contemporary functionality, and a carefully curated interior, creating a home where past and present coexist naturally.

The project is a complete renovation of a city apartment, guided by the desire to preserve the character of the existing space while adapting it to contemporary living.

The original wooden doors, frames, and architectural details have been carefully retained, creating a natural connection to the home’s history. They are complemented by new elements with clean lines, natural materials, and a calm, understated colour palette. Furniture, lighting, textiles, and artwork have been thoughtfully selected to enhance the architecture without overpowering its original presence.

Particular attention has been given to light, texture, and the subtle details that create a sense of warmth and a naturally lived-in atmosphere. Rather than placing old and new in contrast, the design brings them together as different layers of the same story.

The result is a warm and timeless urban interior that carries the spirit of the past while embracing the present — a home with a distinct character, carefully preserved and thoughtfully reimagined.
